Easy homemade tartar sauce

  • 1/2 onion
  • 1 tbsp capers drained
  • 2 tbsp pickled gherkins around 8 baby gherkins, or one large
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise I used light


  • Chop the vegetables quite finely. Combine the four ingredients in a bowl, and mix well. You can serve this sauce immediately, but it's best after a few hours in the fridge.
